As winter sets in, the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball is ready to light up the chilly nights with a star-studded lineup for 2023, unveiling a roster of performers that resonate across various musical genres. With the promise of engaging live performances across 11 cities, the event is keen on melding tradition with the contemporary tunes of today’s pop culture.
A Tradition Rekindled
Initiated in 1996 at Madison Square Garden by New York radio station Z100, the Jingle Ball has morphed into an anticipated annual multi-city tour. As a tradition, it has been offering a platform for various artists to exhibit their talents and share the stage with their contemporaries. This year, the tour is set to commence on November 26 in Tampa, Florida, at the Amalie Arena, unfolding a line-up featuring Niall Horan, Teddy Swims, Zara Larsson, Doechii, Paul Russell, Kaliii and Lawrence.
Starry Ensemble Across Cities
The tour flaunts an impressive assortment of artists including Olivia Rodrigo, Usher, Nicki Minaj, SZA, Niall Horan, and Jelly Roll among others, encapsulating the modern-day pop essence. Each city on the tour itinerary is set to host a somewhat unique blend of performers, fostering a fresh ambiance at every stop. Notably, the Madison Square Garden concert on December 8 will see the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, SZA, OneRepublic, Sabrina Carpenter, and others gracing the stage.
Los Angeles To Echo With Melodies
Come December 1, the Kia Forum in Los Angeles will reverberate with performances by Olivia Rodrigo, Niall Horan, AJR, and Sabrina Carpenter, to name a few. The event not only portrays a medley of musical styles but also serves as a confluence point for established artists and emerging talents.
Broadcasting A Musical Gala
Adding a new leaf to the event, a multiyear agreement has been inked with ABC, making it the exclusive television broadcast partner for the Jingle Ball, a shift from the previous association with the CW network. This pact paves the way for a nationwide television special slated to air on ABC on the night of December 21, with a follow-up availability on Hulu the subsequent day.
Tickets And Anticipation
The anticipation surrounding the event is palpable, with a presale for Capitol One cardholders starting on October 3 and tickets opening for the general populace on October 6. Tom Poleman, Chief Programming Officer for iHeartMedia, expressed his enthusiasm for this year’s artist lineup and the stellar show they are expected to put up, continuing a tradition that celebrates pop music and the holiday spirit.
