Poetry slam events are becoming an exquisite way of enjoying literature. To some, it is a way to renew the classy poetic sense for the new generation.

Are you also a fan of Poetry slams? If yes, good news for you. We are glad to inform you about a new and fascinating poetry slam event. With a lot of people in demand, a new event is going to be held soon at Friday noon (US Columbus time zone and 6 pm according to German time zone).

According to the news, the event is going to be an interesting discussion with celebrity Chiquita Mullins Lee besides poetry slam. Moreover, some engaging and entertaining topics are going to be held in the show such as the vision of the future, fear, creation, reciting affirmed motivational quotes, and how the art has helped us through the pandemic grief.

Chiquita and Kathrin will share their poems and of course, the most entertaining part of the event, chatting with the audiences will be amusing as hell. The interesting part is the show features Chiquita Mullins and we all know how amazing the subject becomes when it comes to her. If you do not know, let us motivate you. 

About Chiquita Mullins Lee

Where to start? There can be no short intro to this amazing lady. The things she has achieved based on her skills and experiences, the list is limitless. Let’s start the intro of the darling lady of Ohio from:  

She is the coordinator of Arts Partnership at Ohio Arts Council, Big Yellow School Bus grant programs, and Ohio’s Poetry Out Loud. She hosted the Emmy award-winning program, Traditions – Ohio Heritage Fellows produced by Think-TV in Dayton and she won individual artist/excellence awards in fiction and playwriting from the Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC) and in fiction and nonfiction from OAC.

Chiquita regularly writes and performs with Columbus-based Wild Women Writing, and recently performed in the plays, twelve hours and The Shakespeare Club by Dave Carley, Lost Lake by David Auburn, and she portrayed Venus in Shakespeare’s Venus and Adonis. Her critically-acclaimed play, Pierce to the Soul, premiered at CATCO, toured central Ohio with A Portable Theatre Company, and was selected as part of the Dayton-area History in Action: A Festival of New Historical Drama, which also featured her work, Ms. Morrison Talks to Pilate of the Song of Solomon. 

The adored lady has been a writer for Creative Arts and Sciences at Hambidge Center in Rabun Gap, Georgia, and Fine Arts Work Center in Massachusetts. Moreover, she was nominated for Pushcart Prize, featured in national literary anthologies and Long Street Cultural Wall in Columbus, Ohio.     

No doubt that the program is going to be a blast in every manner. With the literacy poems, engaging debates and enjoyable conversation with the audience, we believe it will give tough competition to other poetry slams events. So do not forget Friday noon!
