Originally hailing from Vancouver, Canada, Lisa K. Crosato is a multi-talented actress, writer, and producer now based in Los Angeles. After accumulating experience in various independent films, Lisa expanded her creative pursuits into writing and producing. Her first film, “Kenmore Ave,” which she wrote, produced, and starred in, was a hit at Cannes, where the trailer played alongside major features on the festival’s red carpet. The film is currently distributed by Shorts TV. In addition to producing the award-winning feature-length documentary “From the Midst of Pain,” Lisa developed the screenplay for Jean Pierre Bekolo’s film “Les Saignantes,” which received acclaim at the Toronto International Film Festival and won the Silver Stallion Award. Mentored by legendary screenwriter Mardik Martin (Raging Bull, Mean Streets), Lisa wrote her first screenplay, “XXL,” which has won several awards and was recently optioned.

Lisa’s upcoming projects include a crime thriller she penned about infamous female serial killer Sheila LaBarre, with legendary Oscar winner Charles Burnett set to direct. She is also working on a feature comedy about the film industry titled “Maggie and Maura Get a Callback” and is set to work on a dark comedy pilot in the summer of 2023, playing a flawed but likable character. Lisa will co-star with Sally Kirkland and Maggie Wagner in the upcoming film “A Day in the Valley,” which she also wrote. Dedicated to promoting female-driven content, Lisa successfully founded the “City of Angels Women’s Film Festival” in 2019 to empower and connect women in the film industry. The festival, which showcases exceptional films made by women, has been featured in Variety and numerous other publications, attracting celebrities and top talent who share their diverse stories from around the world.
