With over twenty-five years of experience in fields such as marketing, business development, strategic networking, and philanthropic endeavors, Manthorne has connected with some of the most prolific executives from every imaginable business vertical. He has a true passion for helping people and for making our world a better place.

Today, he calls Sarasota, Florida home. When he is not traveling the globe connecting people together, he enjoys exercising, relaxation, and friendships.

Where does Scott Manthorne find his inspiration and drive?

From my daughter, closest friends, and all the young adults I had the chance to coach.

Can you talk to us about why writing a book is important to you?

It allowed me to share the stories of over 80 amazing executives, and gave me a chance to write about my life too (so others know more about me).

There are so many stories inside The Network Effect: Stories from The Inside Circle. What are one or two that inspired you the most?

Adapting to Change, by Clayton & Ezra Frech.  I have known them since they founded Angel City Games. Both are tireless advocates in the Adaptive sports community, and just amazing humans.

How would you define the ideal business client? Are there certain traits you look for in a person before developing a business relationship with them?

Ideal clients share similar values to me.  I look for those that are giving, happy, supportive, and excited to be alive.  They value time, they demand respect, they uplift others.

Do you foresee The Network Effect: Stories from The Inside Circle ever turning into a series?

With so many book ideas, I’m not sure if this one will have a 2nd edition or not.

If you could have any superpower for a week, what would it be and why?

Time travel.  So many people and places I want to go to.
