Sound Ideas was ahead of the game from the start, but as technology advanced, they had to up their game to stay in business. They quickly converted all of the audios to digital downloads via their website or hard drive purchase.

Acquisition of SoundDogs

Sound Ideas expanded its business by purchasing, Soundelux and SoundStorm Library on June 1, 2019 fromRob Nokes. Today, the website offers over 1 million sounds for immediate purchase, licensing, and download and Sound Ideas maintains and expands its online presence. This was a turning point for Sound Ideas and a great way to move forward. launched the world’s first online commercial sound effects and production music library in May 1997. At the time of purchasing, they also acquired the sound effects library that was developed by the elite production house of SoundStorm in Los Angeles, California who had been nominated seven times and won an Academy Award for Best Sound houses 1 million sounds that can be purchased, licensed, and downloaded right away. They tend to increase their online presence using this strategy.

Sound Ideas further expanded by starting up Westar Music. It offers high-quality production music for search, license, and download. Westar Music has been used by many radio, TV, and cable stations, corporations, and feature films and has been featured in a wide variety of network and cable television shows, and a number of DVD releases. Westar Music publishes new releases every year.

They purchased American Music Company (AMC) an Emmy award-winning company in May 2018.American Music Company’s music catalog currently consists of thousands of music tracks for film, TV, radio, website, and streaming productions with high-quality production and music.
