At the age of 23, Fungi won his debut performance in ‘King of the Dot’ in Calgary, an official rap battle league, and went on to win many more. Having access to that kind of mental strength is what first sparked the interest in the entheogen psilocybin that ultimately led to the creation of the modern-day Fungi persona. Since then, he has established a résumé with Fungi in a little more than a year, which is something that the majority of artists will never be able to do for the whole of their careers.
