Purbeck Insurance Services has raised £9,139.38 for #ANDYSMANCLUB, a charity dedicated to providing men with a safe space to discuss mental health. The company donates £5 to the charity for every Personal Guarantee Insurance policy sold or renewed. This initiative aligns with World Mental Health Day, observed annually on October 10th, with the next observance approaching in October 2026.

#ANDYSMANCLUB offers non-clinical, judgment-free environments where men aged 18 and above can openly share their mental health struggles. Nick Linacre, Claims Director for Purbeck Insurance Services, stated that the charity is “very close to our hearts at Purbeck.” He noted the significant strain on business owners, with over a third of personal guarantee-backed business loans they support being for working capital to “keep the lights on.”

Linacre explained that while Purbeck aims to maintain business health, they also recognize the importance of supporting the well-being of the individuals behind these businesses. The company’s practical support for small business owners facing financial distress can help mitigate the emotional impact of potential business failure. In 60% of cases where clients notify Purbeck of financial distress early, their intervention prevents insolvency.

However, Linacre acknowledged the profound impact of losing a business and the difficulty many men experience in discussing mental health. This led to the decision to partner with #ANDYSMANCLUB, an organization offering free emotional support regardless of the situation. By donating for each policy, Purbeck’s customers not only protect themselves from personal guarantee risks but also contribute to providing men with access to safe talking spaces.
